Compliance

Eleven rules, each naming the document it came from. Deterministic, because a rule engine whose verdict depends on a model's mood cannot be audited.

Matching is regex over NFKC-normalised text. A rule engine whose verdict depends on a model's mood cannot be audited, and the claim this application makes is that every verdict cites the clause it came from.

Check a line of copy

The same engine the Creatives tab uses. Try “our best sugar-free detox latte”, or “was AED 32, now AED 24, until 30 September” — the second is a discount claim with its terms stated, which is permitted.

The rule set

nutrition

A nutrient-content claim of "free" carries a numeric threshold. The date syrup latte and every syrup-sweetened drink on the menu exceed it, so the claim is false on SIDRA's own products.

health

These are health claims. A health claim requires substantiation by competent authority review, which a cafe menu has not had. This is the single most likely failure mode for F&B copy and the one the Compliance agent is tuned hardest against.

Unqualifiable and misleading — every food is chemical. "Natural" has no agreed definition SIDRA can point to when asked.

price

A discount claim must state the period and the reference price it is discounted from. A bare "30% off" cannot be substantiated by a reader.

Unsubstantiated superlative. Also against SIDRA's own voice, which is specific rather than boastful — so this fails on brand grounds even where a regulator would not act.

Permitted only where the piece also states what makes it so — baked on site, baked that morning. Alone these are filler, and SIDRA's voice rule is to say the specific thing.

SIDRA does not use religious register to sell. Ramadan and Eid are trading periods for the business and the copy says so plainly.

nutrition

Making a nutrition claim triggers a nutrient declaration. A creative that names calories or protein without the accompanying declaration states half of a regulated disclosure, which is worse than stating none of it.

Why precision is reported next to recall

A rule that flags everything has perfect recall and no value — a compliance tool that flags good copy gets switched off, and then it catches nothing at all. Half the gold set is clean copy chosen to trip a naive matcher: discounts with stated terms, allergen statements, and “fresh” qualified by “baked on site”.
